Delaying the primary sets a precedent for Trump to postpone the November 3rd election. If he thought he could lose he might do that.

I see no reason why the Democratic party shouldn't get to decide who the candidate(s) belong on the ballot in the Democratic party. If Bernie wan't to be on the ballot in NY, he can do that in a different party.
