people had paying jobs and now they don't. so their employer applied for help. not sure how this is so appalling. they have bills to pay also.

It's appalling because churches don't pay taxes. They should have their own plan or appeal to the god they exist for. As an atheist, why should my tax dollars go to churches? And again, they don't pay taxes.
Also I'm appalled because too many small businesses that actually pay taxes aren't getting help, but churches are. That makes no sense to me.
