Surprisingly, this woman is Canadian. She lashed out when I replied, "As a socialist, Bernie Sanders is not electable."
She criticized me for writing about sex. I thought we were past Victorian, pearl-clutching, sexist shaming of women who dare to talk about sex. Sexual compatibility is a big issue in dating, even with older people.
Before blocking her for three months, I sent her a message:
"Slut-shaming me is mean, insulting and obviously, off-topic.The topic is former president Obama's recent commencement speeches. Obama showed us how a president should sound.
"You insulted me because I don't like Bernie Sanders. You Bernie bots are all alike.
"It is against community guidelines to insult and personally attack members. You are blocked for three months."
Admittedly, saying, "You Bernie bots are all alike" was uncalled for. But staunch Bernie supporters have been lashing out at people who do not support their hero.
Your thoughts?

Despite being blocked, this morning she sent me a long, nasty message. She lashed out, calling me a narcissist and other despicable names.
I briefly skimmed her message. Got the gist and deleted it.
Our eyes and ears are orifices, just like the mouth. We can choose what we take in.
Good for you. She sounds like someone with issues.......
There is no need for rudeness like this ,have you repeorted her to Agnostic ,a copy of the email would have been great to forward
Yes, I reported her to Agnostic.com.
Excellent
Sorry this happened to you,It was not called for, Two people have the right to disagree and have different opinions ,but that doe not mean one hates the other person because of the opinion ,problem is if a person acts negatively on it,that is not called for ,acting negatively never solves anything only aggrevates it , You certainly had the right to block her .
I was taken aback and confused when I read this, and I had to go back through some recent threads until I found the quote in question, which I just debated a long long time about noting here, only so others would know what the hell was going on. I won the debate and since I don't want to cause you any more offense, even at third hand, it remains unquoted.
I also won't link the thread since that would probably be considered "naming & shaming", which in itself would violate the standards on my part (I think).
Suffice it to say the quote was an utter non sequitur and had nothing to do with the topic at hand; it was an explicit threat to open up the conversation to your personal life, which has no bearing on your political opinions. Nor does anyone's. I don't blame you for not wanting to hear any more from this person for a while. She wearies me too, from time to time. ("Morally superior" people have that effect on me.)
Her behavior was wrong. Having said that, you have no control over it. I would go Stoic in the sense that her words only have the meaning you choose to allow them to. I would assign no meaning of the words to me, and assign her to the pile of left-of center intolerants. Then, I would block her permanently.
I think it was uncalled for for her to talk about your sexuality in any way.
I also think you have a temper , lol so there is that. I doubt all Bernie people are exactly the same and I doubt you even think that way.
But hey you have a bit of a temper and you felt better afterward.
I doubt there are many amongst us who never lose their temper.
I don't have a temper. Just ask my daughter. I was the calm parent.
Unlike her dad, I don't yell, get emotionally upset, hold grudges or cry easily.
"This is temporary," was my mantra when Claire was a teenager. I took the long view.
When crisis hits, I have always stayed calm and problem-solved.
