Congratulations, but you DO realize you'll be surrounded by rabid 'right-to-lifers' all day, every day, for the duration, don't you?
Just checking...
@1EarthLovingGal Let me/us know I'm very curious!
Please reject applications from religious zealots....
@1EarthLovingGal I bet they get real quiet about their god botherer BS...
@1EarthLovingGal I was talking about the people trying to adopt kids actually.... I would reject them if they started that Jesus crap with me. It has always been my experience that the more shit they talk about their religion the less trustworthy they are in reality...
@1EarthLovingGal I would require a complete background check and psych eval before considering them....Oklahoma would grow to hate me....
Congrats! Don’t adopt any more children than you can handle. It’s kind of rude to return them after getting their hopes up.
@1EarthLovingGal No. I did not hear that. I find that behavior objectionable to say the least. Is there nothing in place to prevent such exploitation. Is it a lack of advocacy for the children. Is that what you will do in your new position?
Congrats! You better send lots of flattery and praise to the sky daddy anyways. He is an insecure SOB!
@1EarthLovingGal Me too!
@1EarthLovingGal Yeah, I finally came to peace with it a few years back when hearing folks talk about the "faith" vs "works" thing. The idea that if a humanitarian life-long volunteer didn't believe the right thing they would go to hell, but if a Hitler believed the right thing on their death bed they would go to heaven? And I thought, "wait . . . it can't work like that".
And now I'm at peace 1st) Because unfortunately the whole idea of consciousness surviving death is pretty unlikely. And 2nd) I'm a good person, I always have been loving and caring to those around me -- and if I were to get punished anyway upon dying for not properly flattering and praising a being? Well, then that is a being unworthy of worship.
Could you find me a home, anywhere but the USA.
Congratulations!!!
@1EarthLovingGal You're very welcome.
Congrats! That is indeed a noble institution. And that smile looks good on you
@1EarthLovingGal Looks that way. I wish you nothing but the best, my dear
You have accomplished something truly amazing.....you got a job when 40 million others have lost their jobs. Good luck in your new career.
@1EarthLovingGal Hang in there. People are still having babies and people still want to adopt babies...you have a future.
Congratulations! Sounds like you’ll be a great fit for that job.
My whole heartedly congratulations. Good for you. Always take credit for your efforts and do not concede to a false almighty!!
Congratulations, hope you enjoy it.
@1EarthLovingGal So are you going to be based in OKC, Norman, other?
Congratulations! I've been trying to adopt out of foster care for 3 years, and in that time I've had 8 different case managers. They get burnt out really quick. If I can suggest, be sure to protect your own mental health. These are some deep emotional waters to swim in. Totally worth it, but still very trying.
Congratulations
@1EarthLovingGal You're welcome!
