I live in a very conservative Christian southern state and if I happen to be going through a particularly hard time in my life the people I know always tend to spout platitudes and or bible verses at me expecting it to somehow make me feel better. Even people that know what my beliefs are. This often ends up irritating me to no end.
Is this something that anyone else experiences?
If so, how do you deal with it?
The one who has no sight, not the eyesight, is the blind.
If the environment is toxic to you. Move to a more healthy place.
I learned to consider the source!!!
So if you can have faith in a mystical illusionary being who is all knowing that it let’s them cheat each other, steal from each other, kill one another at will, and of course take what does not belong to you and still be saved!!!
Then your moral and ethical beliefs are nothing but rudimentary and barbaric!!!
If you need to be part of their sick, delusional, demented belief system and you can not see that you are the one who is beyond them, then let them dictate who you are!!!
You can live among the insane as long as you know they are insane and not righteous!!!
Your responsibility is to yourself not to those who never support you or your life style!!!
Consider moving to a college town in a Green state
