Blackbird, Beatles
@Gatovicolo Did you like Evan Rachel Wood's version in Across the Universe?
@MixtapeChick it’s ok.
Sir, they are one of my all-time favorite bands. I listened to 3 of their albums tonight, and I've seen them 10x
I've only seen them once, on the Second Law tour at MSG. Amazing show. Me and my daughters love these guys! Falling Away With You is one of my favorite songs by anyone.
Oh WOW, just saw your pic with them - nice!
Carry on my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more.
Once I rose above the noise and confusion
Just to get a glimpse beyond the illusion
I was soaring ever higher, but I flew too high
Though my eyes could see I still was a blind man
Though my mind could think I still was a mad man
I hear the voices when I'm dreamin', I can hear them say...
Carry on my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more
Masquerading as a man with a reason
My charade is the event of the season
And if I claim to be a wise man, it surely means that I don't know...
Just kidding, I'm watching Supernatural.
Honestly, they've played that track on the radio SOOO much (I can believe I'm going to say this) but I don't think it's that great. QOTSA had 6 amazball albums that rocked....this one so far, in my opinion, is kind of soft. This is my favorite QOTSA song, it's blazing fast and gets the blood flowing. An awesome road trip song.
Good stuff, this one came out a few months ago if you haven't seen/heard it
Parker Millsap and John Prine and a bit of Cesaria Evora and Etta James for contrast
I'd never heard this before, very pleasant! Thanks for sharing.
My favorite lately is Radiohead's re-release of OK Computer, with an extra cd of tracks recorded in the same sessions but not on the original album. It's called OK NOT OK.
I was listening to King of Limbs when I came upon your comment. OK Computer has a special place for me <3
OK Computer is one of those all-time albums in my opinion, like Sgt. Pepper's and Thriller. I have that extended release version but didn't like many of those extra songs as much as the ones that made the original album.
@zenstain I really like most of the extra songs.
I work in a music store, just got in, my ears are ringing, I’m listening to my tinnitus... Perhaps some Ray Charles later.
Wow, I find this solemn, pretty, and throbbing. Thanks for sharing!
