cooking rice
Okay, I've always measured the rice and water; no first finger joint trick for me. But... I have never drained and rinsed rice -after- cooking it! LMFAO
Oh... it's for fried rice. I had no idea where to start with frying rice. I think I understand the rinsing, to get rid of extra starch, because it tends to make the cooked rice sticky.
@bingst if you cook it right it shouldn't and you use day old rice usually for fried rice
