Also from the article, "Covid-19 claimed about 4,500 lives in the period to the end of June – a number that has now risen to 5,800 – a higher percentage of the population(died) than in other Nordic nations, THOUGH LOWER THAN IN SOME OTHERS, including Britain and Spain.

In total, 51,405 Swedes died in the six-month period, a higher number than in any year since 1869, when 55,431 people died, partly as a result of a famine. The population of Sweden was about 4.1 million then, compared with 10.3 million now.

  • 5,800 out of 51,405 means that the covid deaths are not the sole reason for the high death toll. Id like to see how suicides and homicides played into the death tolls.

Most certainly a slant piece using cherry-picked statistics, intentionally devoid of context.

Overall, we rate Real Climate Science a Quackery level pseudoscience website as well as a moderate conspiracy website based on promoting that the solutions for climate change lead to communism. We also rate them Low for factual reporting due to failed fact checks and a complete rejection of the consensus of science in regards to human-influenced climate change.

4,500 isn’t too bad given their population. That’s 0.05%. Given the average age of death is nearly 80 years of age.
Should we all stay on lockdown and wear masks forever because of the constant flow of citizens on Chemotherapy??? If you go out, you are putting them at a tremendous risk.

There may never be herd immunity. The vaccine may not work at all or it may work for a very limited time.

@Theresa_N we don't know yet, although Sweden's case has nothing to do with vaccination. hopefully we will achieve immunity if the vaccine is viable and several are showing promisw3.
