What's the worst claim for creation for you? Mine is irreducible complexity. We're too complicated to not be created? Ever try to make something? How complicated did you make it? Know what's an intelligent? A tree. It just sits there. Energy from the sun, water and nutrients from the ground, easy. Now take a human being. Need water? Go find it. Food? This is where it gets fun. Not everything is edible. Berries are plentiful buti hope you know those red ones can kill you. You can grow your own crops, if you have a few weeks. There's meat, cool. Go get it. The things that are easy to kill are fast, and boy do four legs make a different. There's slow animals, but they tend to be tough, with that thick skin and the fact you need to isolate one or else you get kicked to death. Other predators have sharp claws and big teeth, so good luck! So we develop weapons, yay! We learned to farm, and to stockpile food. That's just part of it. Some foods have parasites, so now it needs to be cooked. Get through that and the work has just begun. Gotta chew your food. Can't let that pesky windpipe get obstructed. While you're at it, don't accidently inhale while you're eating, hate for that food to end up in your lungs not your stomach. Ah yeah, the stomach. Only filled with acid that would kill you if it ended up anywhere other than where it is. Sounds like something a smart designer would put in their system, right? Well, all that stuff has to go through only 22 feet of intestines. Talk about an inefficient system. Of course, we don't just use the food, what we can't use has to go somewhere, so we have to release it. Assuming the solid waste doesn't form a blockage. But what about the stuff that we need? The nutrients need to be broken down and enter the body. How many organs does that take? Better hope nothing fails while we're at it. Boy do we have organ failures. Liver, kidneys, gall bladder, pancreas, all can cause major, fatal issues. Meanwhile a fungus can grow in what we leave behind. It seems like the Rube Goldberg Machine we call our bodies is a bit much for what we need it to do. We don't even get to live as long as some trees either. Tell me how intelligent that is.
There was a time I’d have put that much effort into rebutting an ignorant religious assertion, no more.. We evolved over millions of years, if they refuse to accept, or can’t understand that, there’s no sense wasting your time.
What I’ve noticed when ‘debating’ a religion-pusher is their lack of desire to learn; they’re a one-way street. All they know of reality is enough to deny it when they see or hear it coming.
Ah, irreducible complexity. What if the motor flagellum was shorter? Done christians.
