With asthma, I am stuck inside due to wildfire smoke. So, I have been having fun making a Christmas stocking for Shane. He never had a homemade stocking.
Northern Larch were my inspiration for drawing the trees. They look like Dr. Seuss trees.
Claire's dad, artist Terry Valdez drew the mountains, lake and river. He suggested cutting slivers of white felt for snow along the riverbank. Terry did a wonderful job!
"All of your hiking gives you knowledge of mountains and trees," Terry said. He suggested I add small trees atop the mountain to give a sense of distance and perspective.
Yesterday I made the sleigh. It's small to seem far away. Love the bead swag.
