The "under god" part in the pledge of allegiance was put in there during the McCarthy Era.
The good, the bad, and the ugly. The report shows some bright spots too, like legislation to protect youth from conversion "therapy." Excellent source for seeing where the battles and the victories are on the 1st Amendment and other fronts in each state.
