Their mother divorced me after 14 years of marriage because I voted for Obama.
This was before I came out as transgender of course.
I told my Ex the social conservatives want to take away womens right to choose.
She said they just say that so they can get the stupid people to support their real policies.
Sometimes I think about how things are and I cry for my daughters.
Sometimes they call and the entire conversation is them going off on their crazy ultra conservative mother.
Apparently I'm more of a mother than she ever was or could be.

I can't imagine how it must be to live with someone like that. I'm sorry you did, and that your daughters do, but you've given them the perfect antidote to her influence, and apparently it's working.
@Lauren She didn't even teach them about female hygiene. I married her because her personality reminded me of my father, I hate the memory of my father, how sick am I?
@Willow_Wisp Oh wow. She's quite a piece of work. You're not sick. Our parents are key influences to our development for good or for ill, and he gave you some real challenges to overcome. I'm glad you have and, realizing what you do, that you can counter it in the development of your girls. They're so lucky to have you.
@Lauren Little girls grow up and marry their fathers psychologically speaking. Little boys grow up and marry their mothers psychologically speaking. I wish I had come out in my early 20's but where I'm from it probably would have been a death sentence.
Why the hell is this so hard to understand??? Even many women are either blind, stupid or on drugs and refuse to comprehend what is going on with this totally POS that calls himself a president (president of the loony bin club).

Brought tears to my eyes. Up until the Sunday 60 minutes show my sister had not heard of the Lincoln Project. She gets her news on fox and oann. Apparently she does watch 60 minutes.
She asked me if I'd heard of the Lincoln Project - Yeah, from the first ad that appeared cause I DON'T watch fox or oann. She responded and I shit you not, "Now I don't know who to believe."

On the plus side, it has made her pause her belief, so perhaps there is hope before she votes.
@Lauren Yeah, well we're talking about a person who's bullshit-o-meter NEVER worked right. As i commented to Ohub she believes Biden and the socialists will take away her gun, allow minorities to take over her oh so lily white suburb in Trevose, PA and give hard earned tax payer dollars to them. Democratic Socialists are very scary people ya know.

Only because 60 minutes did a section on the Lincoln Project ( a group of Republicans that have gone rogue to defeat trump) interviewing the guys who thought it up is she even aware there is another point of view and said, "Now I don't know who to believe." I am not making this up. I hope she either leaves the box blank for trump or votes Biden.
