What's on the ballot

Yesterday I cheered when I received my ballot in the mail. Thank you, Washington State!

I kissed my ballot before sealing the envelope. Voted straight BLUE as always. It felt good, like giving the finger to Trump and Republicans.

Today I pulled into a line of cars at the official ballot drop-off by the library. A steady stream of voters were dropping off their ballots.

It has never been busy before. Hooray!

I'm having a fill out our mail in ballots date with my lady tonight. When people ask what I'm going to do if Trump wins, I tell them I'm joining the resistance. I think I'd make a pretty good guerrilla fighter for the right cause......

This is the second time I've told my pleasant voting story. Our blank ballots arrived last Thur.
We filled them out Fri. and my wife put them in the drop box Sat. She hung around the parking lot a few minutes and there was a steady flow at the box -- no line but a car every half minute or so. Then she looked in again Mon. & Tues. and there was a healthy line of cars to get to the box. I don't know why people would wait till working hours during the week to go, but as long as they get there I won't complain.

Both our ballots appeared as 'Accepted' on the state website Mon. night. So far, so good -- no worries that we know of.🙂

I will tell a minor story about a previous election...
The day Shrub was elected we happened to be on a cruise ship in Puerto Rico. I've never seen people get so excited about an election. And neither had most of the other cruisers. A lot of the people who happened to stay on the boat convinced themselves that the population was rioting.
There were fireworks and gangs roaring around the city very loudly on ATVs waving flags and stuff. But it was almost all celebration. We only saw one bit of hard feelings -- a young grade-school age girl was standing in her father's kiosk shouting obscenities in Spanish as the partiers went by. Her dad's party lost.

I wish people in America got that worked up about elections. We pay attention, but it's not at the same level at all.

Happy your all doing this ,so many more people ,In Canada it all happens the same day vote and counted and elections results later in the evening but we do have advanced polls for those who want to and will not be around on voting day

I just dropped my ballot off at the court house an hour ago. It felt good like was sticking a pin into Trump. Lol

That idiot prez likely shot himself in the foot - we’re all voting early! ...except his people 😀 ..can you picture them ..collapsing in line from covid ..having waited until ‘election day’ to do their dirty work 😉

My vote’s been in & secure for several weeks now … thanks, VA - the first year for ‘no excuse’ early voting - so we Democrats are!

Dig this 🙂

@Varn

LOVE IT! Thank you.

I was so excited watching this, I did a set of ten standing weightlifting exercises to channel my overflowing joy.
