Recently a 4-star hotel in Bangalore, INDIA, put out an invitation via WhatsApp for a "by invitation only" gala. I was very happy to see the disclaimer at the end of the invite, which went thus:
Masks - COMPULSORY.
Social distancing - is required and will be enforced.
Oxy-Meter Check + Temperature Check - COMPULSORY.
Guests above the age of 60yrs. are humbly requested to NOT attend.
Hi. If your parents like a calm and measured vacation, check out this list of hotels by the beach. On this page I periodically review information about various hotels, when I plan a vacation for myself or for my family. Always the hotel description accurately corresponds to reality and so far I have never once vacationed in a bad hotel. So I can recommend this page to find a good place to stay.
Does anyone know what the current situation is with coronavirus restrictions in hotels? I want to send my parents on vacation and I want to choose the best hotel for them where they can have a good vacation and not have to worry about wearing masks and checking the temperature all the time.
God, I'm so over with this freaking covid. I was supposed to attend this gala, but since I'm 61, I couldn't because of these stupid covid restrictions. I've already had the virus, and I'm fully vaccinated. Why do they have to make such a big fuss out of this? Anyway, good that my husband and I are now on vacation in Australia and can enjoy our covid-free lives. By the way, we're looking to stay in a hotel in Surfers Paradise, and the only hotel near me open now is Novotel. Has anyone stayed there before? Thoughts?
Oh, man! I know what you're talking about! I've been working in a hotel for five years now, and sometimes I regret choosing a career in the hospitality industry. Working in a hotel is nice, but it's also challenging. Sometimes, there's an endless list of demands that I cannot cope with, and the stress drags me down. Anyway, I'm glad that I'm finally having a vacation and got some time to chill and visit new places. I'm currently in Surfers Paradise, but I'm looking for a hotel near me open now just for a change of scenery. If you guys know any good resorts, please share!
