I spent a long weekend in the Bavarian-themed town of Helen, Georgia (USA), where I could forget about all things elections related.
There were many beautiful waterfall hikes close to town — very similar to SW North Carolina. I love living within driving distance of so much natural beauty.

Helen is a couple hours drive from me but I haven't been there in about 40 years when I was a child. I thought the place had become a tourist trap but maybe I was wrong. I'm glad you enjoyed your trip there.
