He is working very hard at trying to figure out how he can pardon himself and the rest of his maggot infested family and friends preemptively before he leaves office. He won’t leave until he does, or finds a non extradition country willing to have him.

@freedom41 last I read, there is not a totally clear answer. Another possibility I have seen involved resigning just before his inauguration m giving Pence enough time to pardon him and his gang of bandits.
