No seven reminds me of meeting two scottish girls on the french riviera. They were only there for 2 weeks and determined to get a tan so they covered themselves with baby oil and went topless sunbathing. I don't think their skin had ever seen the sun before. My partner and I (aussies, so very experienced in this) warned them several times but they wouldn't listen. Saw them the next day walking very very carefully to avoid rubbing their nipples. Ouch.

Here in Mojacar (Southern Spain) I have frequently had to point out to sunbathers in early June that although the temperature is cooler than in August, the risk of sunburn is far higher. They seem unable to comprehend that the sun is far higher in the sky, and therefore far more fierce, than in "hot" August.

@Petter I loved spain but here in adelaide we are under a bloody great hole in the ozone layer and it makes a huge difference. You can burn after just a few minutes in the sun.

@Cyklone Sounds like Kenya, in the highlands. Not only is it right on the equator, but at 10,000 feet altitude and with dust free air the UV rays are hardly blocked.

@Petter yep, that would be similar 🙂
