Trump's final desperate despotic acts to hold onto power?

The continuing American & Israeli aggression against Iran & its citizens are the acts of hardened criminals prepared to do anything including the death of millions in order to cling to power. Only unilateral action by the majority of the earth's people will put them in their place.

Does anyone know why they are called B-52?' This was the year they were first conceived and built "First flight 15 April 1952" The 'newest' B-52 is 60 years old. It says they are 'capable' of carrying nuclear weapons. Given their extreme age lets hope they don't as it might become an actual Dr. Strangelove event! I once worked for Boeing in a plant that built 707's and 727's. Once we had to move a cabinet and I found a booklet of information of the B-52. This was in 1966.

For all the plane buffs:

Wasn't it originally a turbo prop but now a jet propelled aircraft? How does it compareto a jumbo jet for load carrying & economy of use?

@FrayedBear Thank you. From that question an idea popped into my head so I looked it up. In 1943 Boeing conceived of a swept wing jet and in 1947 (a lot of important things happened in that year including my birth LOL) the =XB-47 was built. This went on to become the B-47 which then was improved and turned into the B-52. [boeing.com]

@JackPedigo thanks Jack. A fascinating article for the fact that it clearly suggests that USA were not only collaborators with the enemies in WWII but obviousthieve of copyright - "Near the end of World War II, Boeing aerodynamicist George Schairer was in Germany as part of a fact-finding mission. At a hidden German aeronautics laboratory, Schairer saw wind tunnel data on swept-wing jet airplanes and sent the information home."
Gemany should be suing for theft of intellectual property rights.

@FrayedBear Too bad they were at war with us so tough shit. We got a lot more than jet technology. Lots of V-2's were brought back to the US for study along with their creator Werner von Braun.

@JackPedigo it is the fact that it implies that collaboration occured during the hostilities. Isn't that treason even in America.
Americans really don't give a fuck about their hypocrisy except when others pillage their copyrights & then they squeal like fat stuck pigs?
Have you not considered that what is good for the goose is also good for the gander? Methinks that like the bullied bully there is too much squealing ocurring.
Australians seem to have a perverse pride in their convict ancestry. Like the items originally stolen it is worthless. American theft however is in a very different class but equally inadmirable.

@FrayedBear All's fair in love and war so goes the saying. I have noted technology gets it's biggest boos during a time of war and there can often be odd revelations. The Germans were able to completely update their electrical system to a much superior one as most of this infrastructure was destroyed during the war.
Copyrights are a different matter and they should be observed by all including the rich and powerful that steal others ideas yet scream when they disrespect ours.

@JackPedigo Jack: didn't Edison steal virtually all of his inventions? And similarly Steve Jobs, Wos, Bill Gates? Isn't that the American way? And also claim to have invented so many things invented by others. penecilin?

@JackPedigo, @FrayedBear Australians used to be known as the most law abiding country in the world despite descending from rabbit poachers. Och, you made a mistake taking that trade into your country.

@rogerbenham and the "great" Davey is reputed to have stolen his safety lamp from a Geordie.
I doubt that Australia still has such reputation for honesty. Just look at the politicians found to be corruptly diverting money or political process. Only recently I had a magistrate tell me that perjury by police designed to influence the magistrstes opinion against me & made in a sworn affidavit was not perjury but simply a clerical error. I'm an old aged pensioner representing himself, the police are an organisation costing $2.5 billion yearly paid by the taxpayer! My accusations of perjury, misandry, lack of cause and other illegalities were not ordered investigated by the magistrate.

@FrayedBear Same situation in Canada. The RCMP are a force of their own. They police themselves and invariably are found not guilty. They are a paramilitary organisation, armed to the teeth with military surplus. They have tactical units (swat teams) and secret plain clothes infiltrators. They monitor everything, no doubt including this conversation as their computer will have snapped into attention over key words. The CIA may well be even worse as they have a secret private army.

It will be interesting to see what and how the history books write up these past 4 years of "hell" on earth. Trump is like a caged animal with rabies right now. He's does not give a shit who he has to take down that's in his path. A failed business man, a 1 term presidency, being impeached during his presidency to boot. He has got a strong following due to his lies and plans of overthrowing the establishment and status quo. This division between the GOP and democrats has got to start healing and Biden has been focusing on this the entire time of his campaign. With the strong arsenal of nominees he is appointing to work with him, we can only hope these folks step up to the plate and do us all justice during these critical times.

Not just in America but amongst all people. America has much to atone for.

tRump is on the way out next year. If he starts a war with iran, it would be a big mess for Biden to clean up.

Like the abandoned landmines, unexploded bombs around the world and depleted uranium dust causing thousands of deaths in various Middle Eastern & European countries has been cleaned up?

Its amazing how many "rational free-thinkers" on this site support dictatorships and oppose democracy.

2

treasonous more than despotic.

Lol, semantics. I think that you understood my message even if open to debate on the vocabulary.

As my daughter told me when she was 5 - "don't sweat on the little stuff Dad".

@FrayedBear so what you are saying is that to be a traitor is the same thing as being a despot? Sorry, but I do not buy your what you say comes from a little girl. Using proper language in similes and analogies is not "small stuff" at all, but proper use of the English language. Oops, sorry, forgot you were Australian, never mind.

Sadly Mongo you cannot discuss the posted issue without your usual oral flatulence masquerading as erudite contribution.

@Mofo1953 but perhaps I totally misunderstand you - is Trump in your opinion a despot?

Such misunderstanding is easily explained by the fact that you are upside down to me!

@FrayedBear my comments are clearly written in English, so if you misunderstand them or try to mischaracterize them, it's not me the one to blame with your usual trumpian "it's never me, always blame others" behavior. Look in the mirror for answers.

Brinkmanship

No doubt. He is one of the biggest and worst losers of all time.

"The multinational mission, which included aircraft from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain, was routed well outside Iranian air space. The American warplanes were in the broader gulf region for about two hours before returning home, officials said."
This took place on Thursday, so it's not exactly Β‘Breaking News! WP is annoying, greedy Jeff Bezos doesn't have enough money. World Socialist Web Site makes a mountain out of a mole hill. I do fear that Trump might try a wag the dog though.

God is not pleased that dyslexics are mangling his name & thinking that they can "wag" him! πŸ˜‰

Trump fights with real stupid fanatacism, with the primitive brutality of a rat that finds itself surrounded.

Succinctly conveyed message. Thanks.

U.S. military dispatches B-52 bombers to Middle East as show of force against Iran
By Paul Sonne

[washingtonpost.com]

Typically the Washington Post will not let me read unless I subscribe.

Was the article for or against the US-Israeli aggression? Please paraphrase what was said.

@FrayedBear To rattle Iran.

@oldFloyd ok but critical or applauding?

@FrayedBear With Israel's blessing no doubt. Definitely provocation. Like taunting school boys with big guns.

I can’t wait to see the results of a Biden presidency over the next few years. This is going to be spectacular!!!!

That's if humanity survives.

@FrayedBear I’m hoping to giggle while it collapses.

@CourtJester as I said elsewhere "so long as I get sufficient warning & time for a final orgasm followed by sufficient liquor to make me mellow!" The giggles I'll forego.

@FrayedBear it’s the collapse

2

There's something about it in the Washington Post too yeah like b-52s in the middle East just what we need. 😣
