I don’t see the difference. Same wacky, delusional guy, onto whose story people project whatever they already want to see.

Good response. Republican Christian is a totally different sect

Often when discussing theology with friends of friends when meeting "cool" Christians (the opposite of godbotherers), I'd quip, "Funny, you don't look Episcopalian."

Seems like if you need to ask the question, you already know the answer....

I like the question and I think it would flabbergast most believers. It's like in my area where a family of believers I know claim Jesus would not like all these giveaways.

I ask the same question. They always answer that there is only one Jesus and they believe in that Jesus, but most of the time after a little more conversation it becomes clear that it's republican jesus they are professing.

Forgive me, I haven't been to church, so I'm a little rusty on my Jesus quotes.

I don't believe Jesus ever recommended taking money away from some people at gunpoint (or under the risk of imprisonment), then giving it to other people in order to buy their votes.

Jesus was more into giving your own assets to the poor.

Actually, if I remember right, and the book reports things correctly, (big if). He did say. “Render unto Caesar what is due unto Caesar.” In other words. Pay your taxes. It was one of the least ambiguous statements.

And that was the Roman Empire , which did not have a lot of democratic ceredibility to back its demands.

And I don't even believe in Jebus.

Thats beautiful

I do not know your US politics well obviously. But I would not say Republican, more extreme. How about 'Fascist' . Look at it this way Fascism has got a bad name, and while a few really extreme Fascists may still accept the name, even they would admit that it is not going to help win them any popularity contests.

So to really sell it, Fascism need a new name, (rebranding). Look around, is there a spare one available ? How about 'Christian', nobody really believes in that any longer, at least not in the plain teachings of it founder, and none of its groups believe in the same things, so its going spare, meaningless anyone can use it for anything. That will do nicely.

I think that's an interesting and valid observation

@Freespirit64 THank you.

While thinking that not all republicans are fasciast...it does seem to be that many fasciast are republican, and though I haven't made a study of it. In my experience , most fasciast relate to republicans.

Libertarian Jesus...because we don't really need a Jesus to set us free we just need the sheeple to stop believe'n in socialist/communist democrat Jesus or Fascist/Statist republican Jesus. Kinda like do you want Horse Shit or Dog Shit? LMAO
