Where do you think the laws of logic come from?
‘Logic’ is largely based on personal beliefs of social norms.
@DangerDave I wouldn’t call Wikipedia logical from a philosophical standpoint there David.
Logic is a branch of mathematics and a branch of philosophy, nothing to do with "personal beliefs of social norms".
@LovinLarge I would disagree. Some logical choices are mathematical, but not all. You could spend the time to run statistical data through your head, but typically you just go with what you feel is logical based on the past experiences, the felt risks, what you believe is safe, what others will think, etc. Not much math unless you are far over thinking.
@CourtJester Disagree all you want but it is fact. If you had attended university, you would have known that "logic" is a field of study.
Knowledge of good and evil. If something is "good" reasoning it is logical, if something is bad(evil) reasoning it is illogical.
@DangerDave good and evil isn't just about moral qualifications.
Good is about qualitative factors for anything. Subjectively, you could call anything good. Goods are sold at a store because they are good enough of a product to sell. There ou s nothing specifically "moral" about selling a product of a store shelf because it is a '"good" product to sell.
The knowledge of good and evil encompass just about anything and everything. It is the bases for logic, morals, principles, standards etc.
@DangerDave it is not a disregard of the question, the question as about "laws of logic" principles, rules, and laws that are "true" or "good" laws, etc. A law, rule, principle gives a conceptual standard standard or a form of correctness. These things of standard, form, true, correct are all synonymous with good where as the opposite is synonymous with evil(bad), incorrect, not true, void(no form), not meeting standard., etc.
Not for selling, or not to purchase, but I did write the book. I know a few things about the knowledge of good and evil. It would be used for teaching the knowledge of good and evil. It can be summed up in the one sentence, "There is good and there is evil."
@DangerDave knowledge of good and evil is not specific to morals.
Here is the adjective definition for Good along with other words considered to be synonyms with good, (the opposites then would be bad(evil))
Secular dictionary and thesaurus is not putting "good" as being specifically about morals.
But rather as I said, knowledge of good/evil is the bases for morals, logic, laws, rules and principles.

@DangerDave #1. Yes, good and evil can be subjective, that is opinion from a point of view.
#2. Rules can be arbitrary. You debate with x-tian forms of "good" is the evaluation of their arbitrary rules considered good/bad.
#3. Good can be objectively evaluated.
#4. The rules the xtians are evaluating you with could themselves be evaluated as to whether the rules are good or how qualitative they are.
@DangerDave An advanced understanding is that what people debate over is an oxymoron. That is debating between a "good evil" or an "evil good".
It us like saying the "bitter sweet" flavor. Bitter sweet is an oxymoron. Is the flavor bitter or is it sweet? Is it good taste to you or a bad taste to them?
