Newly elected Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) this week defended her QAnon-promoting conspiracy theorist colleague Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) on Twitter mocking a Parkland school shooting survivor.
Earlier this week, video footage from March 20 in Washington, D.C., was shared on Twitter of Greene harassing David Hogg, a survivor of the 20 Marjory Stoneman Douglas shooting in Parkland, Florida, and a -profile young gun reform activist. After the video was widely shared across social media, Hogg posted more footage of Greene following him and other young activists around Capitol Hill.
Mental illness needs to be treated, not glorified in videos. These women have serious mental issues and need to be deprogrammed.
California released many state hospital inmates fifty years ago.
Have other states recently done the same?
@yvilletom they closed down most of our state hospitals decades ago in Pennsylvania. Itβs considered much more humane to allow them to sleep on the streets, join gangs or Trump caravans.
@yvilletom @Willetom It was Reagan as California governor who did that. However when he became president, he did it again, but this time nationally. Thus the huge homeless explosion in the 1980's. It's part of how he paid for his tax cuts for the rich, by pushing the mentally ill out onto the streets.
