Okay, I didn't read the entire articles, but the concept of a "second" is just something humans made up. Seconds are just abstractions created by humans to measure time. A second could have been defined as a longer or shorter moment and it wouldn't have mattered. I doubt that a tiny fraction of a second matters to anyone except scientists doing very presice experiments. I have 7 clocks (or devices that incorporate clocks) in them throughout my home and I doubt any of them are exactly correct (nor do I care).

Okay... there's my 2 cents worth. 🙂

If you're a farmer and you're using GPS to auto-navigate your tractors or other farm machinery when it is seeding or spraying crops, then that accuracy might be really valuable.
