The efforts of Republican state legislators in 43 states to suppress voting have made the rubber of Republicans politics meet the road of reality.
Republicans are pushing the idea that it is imperative to pass laws to protect the sanctity of the vote because their supporters are concerned that the 2020 election was stolen. But, as observers have pointed out, if they want to reassure their voters that the election was clean, the way to do it would be to tell them the truth: the election wasn’t stolen.
This reality has been established Christopher Krebs, the former director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency in the United States Department of Homeland Security whom Trump fired after he said the 2020 election was “the most secure in American history”; former president Trump’s attorney general William Barr, who said that the Justice Department had found no evidence of widespread voter that would have changed the outcome of the election; and judges who dismissed more than 50 lawsuits alleging voter .
Last week, Trump lawyer Sidney Powell claimed in a court filing that “no reasonable person” would believe that her lies about election “were truly statements of fact.”

In 90, southern white leaders promised the North that voter suppression would make the South bloom. They were wrong: concentrating wealth and power among a few white leaders, it kept the South mired in poverty for at least two generations. Rejecting voter suppression this time around could write an entirely different story.
Yesterday, I received two letters, one a personal looking letter was from Rand Paul and the other from Citizens Against Government Waste. The RP one was about us libs. taking away the citizens gun 'rights. The other was the usual 'survey' about the socialists takeover. Both are basically ploys to elicit money. One has a self stamped return envelope. More fascist propaganda to try their takeover of the country. I have already started to write replies and will really unload some major anger at these criminals. Also, they will be put in my do not mail list.
Good for you!! I just shred their crap and use it for bedding in my worm box. Which is where it belongs, and when the worms are done it goes in my garden as fertilizer so some good will come of it.
@HippieChick58 It's great for venting and right now I need to do a lot of venting. One of Ron Paul's staff is going to get an earfull of crap.
An ad that popped up yesterday evening as I was on the computer was telling people to block SR1 because among other bull shit allow non-residents to vote.
The right is working very hard to get people to call their representatives and tell them to vote no on SR1.
More distressing is that the senate is split 50-50 and they are NOT voting in the interests of the folks that put them in office. Too many polls show well over 50% of voters want better/easier access to voting, health care for all, gun control, etc.
