If you could create a government what would you select as the basis for it?

Would our Constitution be good enough?

Governments created by individuals have the worst records of success. By groups of historically aware individuals with a mind to protect individual freedoms and form codes to define and regulate means of self-government, we've seen active progress.

If an opportunity came along for forming an optimal, self-governing system, I'd put historically aware women in charge of the process. As a basis, women would automatically make it about love.

Facts, verifiable truths, freedom from religion, true equality, and democracy without oligarchy.

I think the US constitution would be a good base, but it is 242 years old and in serious need of an update.

i believe it would be a good start but would add stronger language regarding race and religion.
I would spell out equality in greater terms so that there is no question that everyone was treated in the same manner.Corporations would not be treated as persons and more thought would be given to monopolies and their power.Defense ,health, education, infrastructure, science, medicine environment, trade would all be defined departments.Taxation would depend on the ability to pay and personal aid would depend on effort of the individual to improve their condition relative to their ability.
