Americans traveling abroad. Should you try not to be that Ugly American? You may not be able to change their minds. Maybe Americans should spend their vacation dollars in the United States, or at least not in any of these counties

The number one reason for the British avoiding the USA like the plague: British visitors to the USA being told "For a foreigner, you speak English very well.".

@powder LOL! I spent some time in France and I was sometimes accused of being English. Everything changed when I pointed out that I was "un Australien".

Top 20. Not surprised about Australia.

@barjoe With the traveling I've done, I have seen plenty of American tourists act like assholes.
If it weren't for the fact that US tourists spend money, we'd probably be unwelcome everywhere.

@KKGator I worked in a hotel for 20 years. Visitors from other countries act like assholes more than American tourists. I always tried to make them feel welcome and so did most American hotel guests. Apparently a lot of people that live here hate America as much as foreigners do.
