This sort of illustrates the problem with "pro life" persons. They only care about fetuses, but once they are out of the womb they no longer care.
The whole "pro life" movement provides people a sense of self righteous moral superiority without requiring any kind of real responsibility or sacrifice on their part. Or, in other words, it leaves them free to judge others, without having to get their own houses in order or trying to be better persons themselves.
