Oklahoma is becoming a movie making hub. Our cheap wages are good for something. "Killers of the Flower Moon" and the movie "Stillwater"
were filmed here.
My little town of Shawnee is now hosting the filming of the movie "Help Wanted". I think it's either a lifetime or a Hallmark movie
Comparatively movies aren't made in Hollywood anymore, they have effectively priced themselves out of the market.
Toronto, Ealing/ Sheperton and other UK studios, Fox Studios Australia, and dozens of others are all cheaper to produce from than filming in Hollywood.
For the same reason most movies supposedly taking place in New York are filmed in other less expensive cities like Toronto or Seattle.
