Not for a nuclear power. It ended the war with Japan. And it saved many lives on both sides.

Hell. Recent events lead me to believe the Civil War never really ended. The South never really let it go.

They, like North Korea, just look at the end of the Civil War as a cease fire. They never really gave up more than temporarily their desire to self govern as the Confederate States rather than United States.
