65 years ago, Britain led the world in nuclear power generation technology (Calder Hall), hotly pursued by the USA and France.
So what is going wrong now?

I wonder what China does with its nuclear waste?

Thorium waste is much easier to handle.
China's current Uranium generated waste is either re-processed into plutonium and nuclear weapons, or sent overseas for treatment and disposal. With their huge balance of payment surplus they can afford to pay others to keep it!!!
