With seven Catholic Justices, I doubt they will rule to interfere.
The supreme Court has failed to intervene.... This is going to be some dark times for this country.
Some are really overreacting to this abortion issue.
Even if ROE VS. WADE was ever overturned, it merely sends the issue straight back to the states. Abortion was legal in states like New York and California before ROE.
Red states will no doubt ban them, or at the very least, restrict it more. New York has already codified the protections of ROE into state law, and other blue states will likely follow it.
@CuddyCruiser there are a number of implications beyond simply the matter of abortion rights.
Not to mention, this assumes that the legislatures of these blue states have not been compromised or hubbled by the decades of Republican machinations.
Also, This now allows the whole Republican party to further use abortion as an issue of literal violent radicalization amongst their supporters.
They don't care about stopping abortion as much as making sure they can maintain a conspiratorial narrative that guarantees an the threat of sedition and violence from the political rights will keep institutions on democratically biased towards the Republican agenda.
By the mear act of being indirect and implying inconsistency on the issue of abortion, our supreme Court has handed far right seditionists a strategic victory in their efforts to escalate radicalization.
