Generally, I am against the death penalty. But, somehow for this guy, I am not quite as bothered as I think I should be.

They brought it back a number of years ago; they just commuted all the old ones, like Mansion, to life.
@Beowulfsfriend Yep. Manson lived well into his eighties. His victims didn't have that opportunity.
I am against the death penalty but especially so when the perpetrator is so obviously not responsible for their actions. Life in a very secure hospital is the obvious response.

I, too, oppose the death penalty on the grounds that a government should not kill its own people. That said, I wouldn't protest for that lowlife's right to live.
