NEW YORK, Oct 13 (Reuters) - Lev Parnas, a onetime associate of former Donald Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani, used $100,000 from a wealthy Russian businessman to make illegal donations to U.S. politicians, a federal prosecutor said on Wednesday.
Parnas used the funds to “grease the wheels” to help the businessman, Andrey Muraviev, obtain licenses to operate legal cannabis companies in the United States, Assistant U.S. Attorney Aline Flodr said in her opening argument in Parnas’ trial on charges of violating campaign finance laws.
Yeah, Druvius said the Russians have zero influence in the US, and that concerns are from a fevered imagination. Never mind their support for the NRA and junkets for Congressmen to Russia, ignore how they changes just enough votes to elect Trump, and have kept McConnell in office, screwing up our courts. Forget the malware blackmail. Don't bring up SolarWinds. And Giuliani's love affair with Firtash et al to wave Russian propaganda on Fox, and repeat those phony claims of election fraud. Mainly, after 4 years of Trump, the US is on its knees, praying without a prayer that the country doesn't turn fascist (or more fascist). Russians? What's a Russian?
Now they are going to take down legal marijuana companies with them!
