The earlier crossbow attack in Kronsberg was certainly by a 'converted muslim' whose online posts showed him to be increasingly radical. He also had a history of mental issues - but radical religion preys on those.

As for the David Amess killing we have, as yet, few details - but from what we see it appears radicalised muslim too.

However we need to put this in context, the last MP before Amess who was murdered in Britain was Jo Cox - and her killer was Thomas Mair, a white supremacist with links to the UK neo-facist National Front, and the US based neo-Nazi National Vanguard. He believed Jo Cox was a 'collaborator' with left wing and liberal politics, and this made her a 'traitor' to white people. He also had a history of mental issues.

In many ways the killing of those people by the 'bow killer' in Krongsberg and the killing of Jo Cox have a lot in common with the killing of David Amess. Extremism is astonishingly similar whether it's religious or political, muslim based or white supremacist based. It preys on the weak and the damaged.
