I'm sure China's military will be outshining our own soon too, if not already. And then we won't talk about the shininess of democracy anymore not long after that. We will all just say what we are supposed to.

America is not the greatest country in the world?

I just read Saudi Arabia has had to introduce austerity measures due to covid related issues. It goes to show even wealthy, oil rich nations are subjected to the larger forces of economics. I read the other day China's wealth is now greater than our own, as it grew more than our nations did during the pandemic. I don't know how accurate it is, but it is not something widely talked about. Wealth creation post covid is an interesting topic for certain. Very interesting when we remember wealth often equals power.

What's their 150 year plan?

In some ways China does have things right. We can't say everything is wrong, absolutely not. I think there was a big change in the nation's approach in the 2010's. The society became more closed off, less tolerant of free expression. What caused this change? From what I heard people with opposing ideas became criminals in the gov't/public mind? Was there something going on behind the scenes that is not common knowledge? What was the cause of this change?
