I gasped when I learned Rittenhouse was acquitted on all charges. Right-wing gun extremists are celebrating. I hope this activates a nationwide ban on military style assault weapons.

I think it will be open season on Kyle.
The killing of children in elementary schools and high schools around the country. The 58 killed in Vegas, 41 killed in Orlando didn’t move the needle on gun laws. You don’t really think this will make a difference do you? Most states are in the process of making concealed carry permits unnecessary. If you pass the gun check to buy it (or obtain it illegally), you can stick it in your belt and go to town. Someone takes that parking space you wanted, draw! 
...so he gets to carry that assault weapon around proudly! and if he's the next mass shooter and claim he was provoked, what then?!
You cannot carry a gun around to a county where they're protesting and expect you won't use it. It wasn't his job to instil law and order!
If he was black it would've been a different story!
Disappointing, disgusting but not surprising.
