Kyle was brought up to be fearful and dependent on a gun for safety.

Interesting

The first person he shot was unarmed. The other people said they attacked him because he was shooting people.

I actually feel sorry for the poor guy. He's a high school dropout and this is his only thing that resembles any success in life. Stay tuned to see how that works for him.

@Lorajay he’ll end up a millionaire after suing liberal news organizations. Good for him.

If he didn’t have a gun, he would likely be dead now.

Not a bad outcome.

@ChurchLess I agree. Good thing he had a gun.

@CourtJester You keep saying that, but there's no court record of Grosskreutz committing a felony, and the other two had served their time for their crimes. It's not like Kyle was out there saving the world from vicious criminals. You can read more about it here: [snopes.com]

It's not the public's job to mete out punishment for crimes, and Kyle had no idea who he was shooting, so he didn't have some noble calling for his actions. If he hadn't shot a man in the back, the other two victims wouldn't have bothered him at all. He was the problem here no matter what angle you consider it. He should have just stayed home.

@Lauren well god bless you and cnn then.

What part of self-defense are you not getting? Kyle broke no state laws and WI town was only 20 min's from his home so not like a 6 hour drive. He was raised in a gun owning culture and told by law that he had a right to protect himself (despite age). Such a person is unlikely to be thinking like a liberal concerning guns yet that seems to be the expectation. I've learned to lose expectations on my part.

Dem's should be showing our famous empathy by feeling sorry a 17 year old faced such a trying experience in our streets, not a foreign war, and let him be. Maybe let's train our focus on the police (who were being protested at this gathering) instead of those victimized by American "culture?"

Thanks for summing up so succinctly why the rest of the world thinks American society is a total fuck fest of gun violence and paranoid, pre-emptive vengeance

@LenHazell53 As James Taylor sang, "That's why I'm here." Thank you.

He brought a weapon across state lines that he was too young to purchase, and murdered 2 people. WTF, did trump pay off the jurors ???

Welcome to Wisconsin.

But, Not an excuse for murder

Really?
