The state of the Theater business.

I know the last few times we went to a film, we left wondering why we bothered.
Well, a lot fewer movies have been released to theaters over the past year. A lot of movies were held for release until very recently or for 2022 and a few were released to streaming cable instead.
So far I've only seen three movies in a theater this year: Free Guy, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and Shang-Chi, all of which I enjoyed.
Concessions are the only place theater owners make money. The distributors get almost all of the ticket money if not all of it. With giant TV screens and all of the movies you can get streaming why go to the theater? It is a dying industry for the most part.
