What a company calls culture is really just groupthink.
Aren’t all cultures human contrivances and a form of groupthink?
Yeppers.
On some level, yes. But to a certain extent culture can provide the boundaries and classifications by and through which we define ourselves. Oppositional or consensual.
@towkneed I believe I understand what cultures do and how they act upon the individual. My underlying point is that cultures are fabricated, and furthermore, are a matter of individual choice. One can choose their culture, as they are not defined by the circumstances of one’s birth.
@p-nullifidian yes. Agree. But you have to be careful of solipsism. Or not.
@towkneed We exist both as individuals and as groups. In a conflict between the two, at some point the group inevitably wins.
