Suicide by lethal stupidity is one thing. Suicide by proxy by lethal stupidity is quite another thing. Darla is a dangerous raving lunatic.

So long, bitch. Say hi to Mr Ed for me.

What's just as crazy is a court would allow that.

I used to live in York. It's a very conservative Bible-thumping place, just like most of central PA. It's one of the reasons I moved. Now my best friend from childhood is trying to get me to move to Florida. IDK at all about that one!

@Organist1 FL doesn't change unless lib's start moving down there and voting but I wouldn't buy a house or anything as the state is likely to be underwater within 25 years. The interior might survive as an island.

@rainmanjr My friend, her husband and all their friends are libs, but they live on a barrier island, and I would be scared to death to buy a house down there. I would like to live near my son, but have no idea where in the country he is going to end up. I need to sell my house -it's too big for me, but don't know where to go. It would have to be somewhere musical or artsy. I don't want to stay where I am.

@Organist1 Sell fast as it's a seller's market, I hear. Good luck.

@rainmanjr I would, but have no idea where to go!

@Organist1 I'll suggest NM. Sante Fe or Taos.

@Organist1 Do you have any preferences? It might be good to make a pro-con list.

@JackPedigo One problem I have is where my son is going to live. I would like to be within 300 miles of him, but he has no idea where he will get a job after graduation. My friend in Florida suggests renting, because that's what she did, and it helped her to make up her mind. However, I have all these musical instruments, including a 1923 Steinway grand, which I would have to move. Then again,. should I sell my piano? Hmmm...confusion reigns. Maybe I should live like an itinerant hippie.

@Organist1 Wow, A Steinway Grand. We grew up with a baby grand but put it into storage when we relocated to Calif. Later, my parents couldn't afford the storage so we lost the piano (no one even played it). Nowadays, as I'm sure you know, one can get all sorts of electronic pianos. I even saw one that rolled up. My question I would ask myself (and am doing so with some of my things) what will happen to it when you/we are gone?

@JackPedigo I have a digital piano and a digital keyboard, both of which sample a Bosendorfer 9' concert grand, among other things, but the Steinway is a real instrument, and its action is different. Also, it's been in the family for 61 years, and there's no one in the family who wants it, or I'd give it away. I probably will sell it if I move.

@Organist1 Recently heard a comment about god. The comment said "god was change". As we age the change includes loss. It's a part of life and it would good if we could benefit from some of our loses.

@JackPedigo It's been a couple of years of great loss for my family. I know what that means, but losing people doesn't feel like a benefit. Losing things is okay.

@Organist1 I guess it depends on who one loses. Unfortunately, dealing with loss is one way we grow.

Wow. I wonder if it occurs to her at all that she is probably responsible.

I think denial simply runs too deep for most people. She probably blames it on the doctors for not doing it sooner.
