LINK Oklahoma Attorney General: "Godless America" Needs a God-based Justice System

The Attorney General of Oklahoma, John O’Connor, said on Friday that a “godless” justice system was inherently a broken one and that our country needed to be run under a Christian-based value system.

He made the comments to the Rotary Club of Sand Springs as part of a list of three issues that America needs to resolve in order to “find itself” once again. After complaining about how individual rights are supposedly being overtaken by federal rights, and before he attacked the supposed scourge of Socialism, he went after secularism.

O'Connor has an election coming up in 2022 and reliable Republican support is from the evangelicals.

Logical people who support a real democracy are turned off by this statement but his base loves it.

Doesn't that just get under your skin? It does mine.

This is why they keep harping on the Sharia Law strawman and the Critical Race Theory strawman, they need to invent an enemy so they sell their fake remedies.

What Law School should I attend to find out what "God" says about a legal system?

Another one for the hole.

Yes, John O’Connor wants his genocidal maniac of a god in charge the American justice system. That figures.

@anglophone Yeah, he can go fuck himself.

That man is a Christian supremacist. He is no better than any member of the KKK.

They refer to themselves as Dominionists now, I believe.

I know I’m preaching to the choir here, but it’s always been a self-evident truth to me that religion (in all its various permutations) is in uncomfortable tension with the values and norms of a liberal democracy. Religion, by definition, is authoritarian—rule from the top down; whereas democracy is egalitarian (at least in theory). So the urge to subvert equality and freedom is baked into the DNA of the religionists in our midst. It’s a feature of their faith, not a bug.

He never said which favor of christianity he believed in.

Which god are we going to base our justice system on? The problem with so many things today is that it is not 1950 anymore. People simply do not get it. Your god was stupid when he wanted to keep the races separate. The mofo unaware of the future of flight and airplanes. In the bible book the only wings were bird wings, but the book really is scientific. NOT.

If that asshole doesn't like freedom of religion, he can buy a ticket to Orban's fascist Christian Hungary.

Yeah he can go with that clown from fox news(I don't even want to type his name). But you know who I'm talking about. His initials are tc.

Another 2 faced Repub in action with religion as his guide.

Argh!

So, in other words, he wants to instill Abrahanic law, or as it is known in the Muslim world, Sharia - one in the same.

The Old Testament .....woo hoo !

One book, 1,000 (?) religions. I'd say YOU ALL need to agree before you come trying to dump your baggage onto the rest of us

I wish he would stop dumping his idiocy on the rest of us.
