Researchers use tiny magnetic swirls to generate true random numbers
I wrote a computer game that I wanted to start up randomly, but the system always started with the same number booting up. My solution was to take a number from the jiffy clock and put that in the random number generator when the game booted.
It sounds like that was a sufficient solution for your wants/needs.
Few RNGs are actually 'random'.
