LINK Abortion pill use spikes in Texas as thousands of patients circumvent state’s ban - POLITICO

Texans have been ordering abortion pills online at record rates in the wake of the state’s law banning the procedure after six weeks of pregnancy, according to a new study published Friday in JAMA Network Open.

Orders for the drugs from the international nonprofit Aid Access spiked 1,180 percent in the first week after the Texas law took effect in September, increasing from about 11 purchases per day to more than 137 per day. And though orders decreased over the next few months, researchers found that they remained 175 percent higher than before the Texas law took effect.

Where there is a will there is a way. Look how well prohibition worked.

Exactly

When will Texas women stop voting against their own interests?

When they finally come to realize they have RIGHTS!

Next thing we know....they'll be running incoming mail through a scanner....just to ''protect women from incendiary devices," or course!

Exactly what I predicted would come about. Back alleys abortions are still more costly than this pill so I think it was the future of abortions, anyway. Get it out of the clinics and into your medicine cabinet so we can stop this 60 year old issue.

Here's a thought the ladies should go to a more open state after they take the pill.

OK...since more abortion patients have children than those who don't....and most of them are working mothers....how do they pay for child care/job leave/transportation/lodging, etc, to get to another State?

Speaking as a worker at Planned Parenthood, I know very well how difficult these draconian laws can make it for someone who just wants to control her own body!

Mifeprex® can also be prescribed for type 2 diabetes (Cushing's Syndrome) so a doctor can diagnose the patient for that. It supposed to only be administered by a doctor but can easily be taken at home. [mayoclinic.org]
