Ernest Shackleton’s ship Endurance found off coast of Antarctica
Expedition team locates wreckage of explorer’s ship which sank in Weddell Sea in 1915
I understand Ernest asked a Whaler when the war ended and he said, “It hasn’t. The world’s gone mad!”
We never recovered, either.
Did anyone doubt it was there or in good condition? That would have been silly. The water is frigid. Maybe we can make a desk out of it?
Crushed by the ice, Endurance rests two miles below the surface. This is a fascinating story of an expedition that was supposed to be a trans-Antarctic trek, but ended up being a fight for survival. Shackleton was used as a case study for leadership, when I was in the military. All 28 of his party survived their ordeal.

I enjoyed seeing how well she looks.
@Beowulfsfriend the condition is incredible & hopefully will continue to be protected from souvenir hunters.
