In the bible, Jesus is put to death on Good Friday.then, three days later, he is risen again, on Easter Sunday. Except that, three days after Friday is Monday. If he was alive all day Friday and slowly died after being nailed to the cross then you would start counting the days after the day he died, late on Friday.
I'm just noticing this now after all these years. Just one more thing the bible gets wrong, rudimentary arithmetic.
I think the bible actually is usually translated as. "On the third day." Not. "After three days." Depends of course on the translation edition you use of course. But, on the third day, would be the Sunday if you counted Friday as day one. Perhaps therefore it is not so clear cut.
@Garban Also the Jewish tradition of Kabbalistic magic when certain Hebrew letters also have a numerical value
for example Kaf "כ" the third letter of the Hebrew alphabet has a value of 3 and also means "approximately or about"
@Garban Did you know that in the earliest known manuscripts of the book of Revelations, the number of the beast was actually 616, but the primordial church changed it to keep the forbidden knowledge out of hands of sorcerers
@LenHazell53 Some also say 612. It gets messy.
