Republicans Call for Return to God, Prayer After Uvalde School Shooting

In the aftermath of Tuesday’s Uvalde school shooting, Republican members of Congress are calling for a return for God as opposed to tighter gun control laws, saying the tragedy was a result of “decades of rejecting good moral values.”

GOP Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene tweeted: “We don't need more gun control. We need to return to God.”

“It’s time to arm the teachers and bring back prayer in our public schools,” Republican Congressman Jackson Lahmeyer echoed on Twitter.

This has happened similarly in Florida and not entirely Republican. Never let a horrific tragedy go to waste. Exploit it to knock more holes into Jefferson’s wall: [tampabay.com]

More Thoughts And Prayers bullshit. This Dem pol should know better than that...

If they think God is in charge and can handle everything, then why do they think they need all their guns? Sounds more like they put their faith in the NRA and their guns than in their God....

Surely you didn't expect anything different? (Horrific events mean nothing to people who have no empathy).
