The electric light bulb was invented - and being used 20 years before Edison's bulb - by a man called Swan. Unfortunately, he only patented it in Britain.

This article is very American biased, unfortunately. Did you know that the concept of, and software for, using a phone for mobile banking was created in Kenya?
