LINK A crop of candidates are insisting they won their elections, despite not being close : NPR

Former President Donald Trump has spent more than a year and a half denying his 2020 election defeat, despite clear evidence that he lost. But he's not the only one. During this election cycle, candidates across the country have refused to concede, even in races that are not remotely close. Georgia Public Broadcasting's Stephen Fowler has more.

So the next civil war will start with politicians fighting themselves. Winning elections will not be about votes but combat.

Well, it did sort of work for George W. Bush in 2000. The AP did their own recount in Florida after the election and found that Al Gore actually won. They published their findings on Sept. 12th, 2001, the day after 9-11, so few people picked up on it. After the 9-11 attack democrats weren't about to question the election legitimacy. After all the supreme court (wrongly) declared Bush the winner.

This will be the new normal I guess. Elections will mean nothing. Whoever hollers the loudest will declare themselves the winners!
