The words are from Frederich Douglas, and the narrator sounds like Morgan Freeman. Especially relevant this year, when it truly is The Farce Of July, rather than the 4th of July.

The world’s most corrupt? Not quite, I hope.

Like me, you live in CA, where voters have direct democracy—the direct initiative, referendum and recall.

Your artwork impresses me. I hope your cynicism doesn’t preclude activism.

I find the blatant hypocrisy is a "force multiplier" where corruption is concerned.

Not my artwork, btw. As far as my activism, it's as Michael Parenti observed when he said we are all teachers.
