Blogging again. "AS FOR SELF-DECEIT, MOST PEOPLE FIND IT AS ESSENTIAL FOR SURVIVAL AS AIR.": [united-cats.com]
I can't go there, that's taking the black pill.
Objectively we have trauma memories that offer whatever worked the last time you felt like you do now, so if you were abandoned at 3 and your spouse leaves you, you will reflexively chose the emotion you experienced when you last felt that way, even if it didn't work at all, it'll be the first solution, your reflex behavior, until you learn better reflexes and find a better solution. So each time someone subjects you to circumstances that trigger those traumatic feelings it's an opportunity to see it differently.
It would be better if the world were fair.
So it's best to be fair with people, and just a bit generous, like when someone cuts you off on the freeway. You can start a road wage war or be generous and assume they're having a worse day then you and you can't just keep killing people because you're running out of places to hide the bodies.
