Yes, that's true, but the magnitude of the fire is a function of the climate conditions.
@TheoryNumber3 Of course and you'd think (but wrongly) that under these circumstances people would be more careful. Some fires, like those in Calif., were cause with trees falling on high tension wires. I would claim those fires are also man-made.
Apparently this problem will be left up to us humans to solve, I am not favorable as to our solutions. We are working far to hard to find the most insipid way to function possible. Our profit loss sheets will look good for a short while, then they will not.

Dead or alive, George Carlin can kiss my ass. I never thought I'd say that, but that is a totally irresponsible op ed from him. And I will argue with anyone who disagrees. Between petrochemicals, pesticides, pollution of our waterways and natural disasters caused by climate change, we are poisoning our resources and our population, How many people do you know who have had cancer? If you have children, you should be concerned. This is about more than plastic bags. It's about our future as a species.
@TheoryNumber3 Lighten up for goodness sake ,this guy is a comedian and is known for showing the stupidity of the human race which he does here ,and should not be taken seriously.,even though what he is saying has some truth to it .I find this hilarious .
@bebe12 I've always been a fan of Carlin... but this was an irresponsible approach to take. There are too many kool-aid drinking willfully ignorant morons on this planet who would take his words seriously, regardless of his intent. Maybe he's right in a sense, but that kind of attitude isn't going to help us in any way.
The downside of human intelligence and "advancement" coming home to roost.
